This picture is more than just a teammate helping another teammate up. It’s about not letting your brothers stay down but encouraging and helping them back on their feet. It’s much more than basketball, but a bond of brotherly love and motivation.

This picture screams “ALL FOR ONE, ONE FOR ALL.” This shows team support all around, clearly their teammate made a three and they were celebrating with the universal “3 pt” symbol. Being excited for your teammate makes them feel good about themselves and increases their self esteem for the game and in general.

This is one for the books, two of the top teams in College Basketball battling it out, in hopes to enhance their chances to a championship.

Hello and welcome to my sports blog. I’m Ataliah Ortiz, a Journalism and Sports Management major at SCSU. This blog will be completely sports related, but in a journalistic way.

I fell in love with sports at a young age, particularly basketball and tennis. Sports was all I knew growing up, they help keep me sane and on the right path. I love basketball, I am a die hard Boston Celtics fan and my favorite player is Rajon Rondo. Basketball is my escape from everything and it keeps me going when things get tough. Tennis is my second love, the rage and power that comes from hitting the ball is what I love most.
